What it is: Maintenance supplies include parts and supplies used for maintenance and repair activities performed by city staff.
Accounting note: If maintenance is contracted to vendors, use 5130 (contracted repairs).
Examples: Vehicle parts; pipe and fittings; building maintenance supplies.
Do not use for: Contracted repairs (5130); capital improvements (6000–6999).
