About GovGlider
GovGlider is the public platform created to advocate for open source accounting support and standardization for California state and local governments, with a mission to improve transparency, comparability, and efficiency in governmental financial reporting.
The initial focus for GovGlider is to publishing a universal California Agency Chart of Accounts (CACOA) as the first featured product. Future releases will expand to additional jurisdictions and reporting frameworks.
GovGlider is an open source project founded by Patrick Chaffee and is provided free of charge. All resources are published under the MIT License, permitting free use, modification, and redistribution of the framework materials. The license does not apply to agency financial data or proprietary systems.
